Across the city of Baltimore there are countless young people who are seeking gainful employment but struggling to obtain a job. Some of the barriers to employment are a lack of opportunity, difficulty obtaining legal documentation and identification, a weak resume or no resume at all, struggles with communication, or a general lack of motivation. While we recognize that there are several programs and entities that provide job training and workforce development, we’ve observed many cases where those pursuing these programs find themselves discouraged and unwilling to complete the process. We believe that these challenges are largely due to a need for authentic, relational, consistent support (A.R.C.S.) - the presence of individuals who will walk side by side, and step by step with individuals while providing encouragement, resources and empathy.
